It's day two of Diane's hospital stay. Already she
has gotten out of bed during the night, and is able to sit up by means of her
recliner bed. Daughter Nena is proud of her mom.

Dietician Jackie comes to see Diane to explain
that her first food - liquids - will be delivered soon. She emphasizes that with
Diane's tiny new stomach, she should only eat 2 ounces of food at a time for the
first 6 weeks or so. As a person with a gastric bypass, she should not drink
liquids while eating - it will fill her tiny stomach too quickly. Protein should
form most of her diet after this surgery, and she should chew, chew, chew
everything until it is a liquid.

Diane receives a visit from dear friend Donna
Potter from the Lighthouse Church. After such a busy day, she takes a long nap
while listening to flute music played by sister Virginia.
