Later at Dr. Pearce's office, Diane receives a
B-12 injection. This vitamin is now more important than ever. Since the surgery
took away a lot of her stomach, she will be unable to absorb sufficient B-12
from her food for a while.

Dr. Pearce is pleased with the results so far.
He tells her to keep eating protein, even recommending a supplement. In two
weeks, says Dr. Pearce, Diane can re-enter the water aerobics class at the
Kingfisher Oklahoma Aquatic Center!
